Dynamic Art Award AI Policy FAQ

DAA AI policy answer: Pure AI-generated artwork is not eligible for the Dynamic Art Award. AI-assisted tools may be used in Digital Art only when the entrant's own composition, editing, selection, and creative control remain primary.

What counts as AI-assisted work?

AI-assisted work may include using a tool for reference generation, texture exploration, iterative visual testing, or limited production support. The entrant must still make the main artistic decisions and produce a final work that reflects their own intent.

What should be declared?

Entrants should declare the AI tool, describe what the tool contributed, and explain what they changed or created themselves. A clear disclosure helps reviewers evaluate originality and authorship fairly.

Why are pure AI-generated works not eligible?

DAA is a student art competition that evaluates individual creative judgment, technical control, and artistic development. Pure prompt-generated images do not give reviewers enough evidence of the entrant's own composition, craft, or decision-making.
