How to Submit to the Dynamic Art Award in 2026
The Dynamic Art Award submission process is designed for student artists preparing original work in Digital Art, Drawing & Painting, Photography, or Video. A strong entry is not only a finished artwork. It also includes the correct file type, a clear description, honest tool disclosure, and enough context for reviewers to understand the artistic decision-making behind the piece.
DAA 2026 deadline: The current official deadline shown on the Dynamic Art Award website is November 15, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Submit early enough to resolve upload, payment, or account issues before the closing time.
1. Choose the right DAA category
Start by matching your work to the category that best represents the final piece. Digital Art is for original 2D digital work and declared digital tools. Drawing & Painting is for hand-created work scanned or photographed clearly. Photography allows a series of up to 8 original photos. Video is for original moving-image work up to 3 minutes.
2. Prepare the required files
Image-based submissions should use high-resolution JPG or PNG files. Video entries should use common formats such as MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, or MPEG and stay within the duration and file size requirements. Before uploading, rename files clearly, check that images are not blurry, and make sure the final file represents the work accurately.
3. Write the artwork description
Each entry should include a title and a short description. Use the description to explain the idea, process, materials, and creative choices. Avoid vague claims like "this piece is about emotion." Instead, name the subject, explain the visual decisions, and describe what you want the viewer to notice.
4. Declare tools and AI assistance honestly
Pure AI-generated artwork is not eligible for DAA. AI-assisted tools may be used in Digital Art only when your own composition, editing, and creative control remain primary. If you used AI assistance, declare the tools and explain your role in developing the final work.
5. Complete the online submission
Create or log in to your account, complete the application form, upload the correct file, add your title and description, and complete the submission fee payment. After submission, check your dashboard for confirmation rather than assuming the upload is complete.
